Instead, they should show a child's personality and zest - inquisitive, full of life, genuine and endearing. Stephanie George Photography's goal is to capture what makes each child unique. I never force a smile, but instead provide a fun experience that enourages children of all ages to relax and be themselves. The result is raw, natural, artistic photos that are keepsakes for years to come.

What are Better Than School Portraits?

School portraits have become a time honored tradition. But wouldn’t it be nice if those yearly photos were worthy of hanging on your walls?

Better Than School Portraits are time capsules that capture more than a single cheesy grin. They are an opportunity to put your child in the limelight and freeze those quickly changing stages of each age. From the chubby cheeks and thick eyelashes of a toddler to the often awkward yet extremely endearing attributes of a pre-teen, parents barely have time to recognize a particular stage before their child is moving on to the next.

Sessions are captured on a solid black background so the sole focus is your child, creating timeless, artistic portraits that can be proudly enlarged and displayed in your home.

In a mere five minute time span, I work to capture multiple angles and expressions that pull on mom & dad’s (…and grandparents’) heart strings. Each gallery includes a minimum of 10 portraits embodying your child’s particular age, and all images are supplied in both color and black & white.

There is something about the removal of color that allows a person’s physical features to come through - so when comparing your son’s portraits to Great Grandpa Robert or Uncle Matt, the resemblance is that much clearer.

Better Than School Portrait sessions are a fun experience for children of all ages that encourages them to relax and be themselves so they don’t mind (and even look forward to) coming back year after year.
